Welcome to Human Design Shadow Shorts. My name is Danna, and this is the podcast where each episode is under 5 minutes, and I give you a little truth bomb, a little tid bit, around Human Design, Shadow Work, psychology. Today what I want to talk about is: How do we actually DO shadow work using the bodygraph? The best way that I have found for this, and this is so simple, so easy, is to use your undefined centers. Use your undefined centers to understand their not-self behaviors and their trauma responses. So this is the part where it gets a little bit different than traditional human design. When you begin to understand the behaviors, the sabotage patterns, what it actually looks like to be in the not-self of the undefined centers. Then you begin to understand how you might behaving in these specific ways. So when I talk about trauma responses, I mean very specific: fight, flight, fawn freeze. Let me give you an example. The undefined solar plexus is afraid of intimacy. It runs away from intimacy in the not-sef. So the way that this could look in real life is running away from partners, running away from confrontation, not wanting to have those difficult conversations, not wanting to be honest. This is the flight trauma response. But guess waht? The way we do one thing is often the way we do all the things. So what else are you running away from? What else are you distracting away from? This is not just limited to the undefined solar plexus, but in the terms of the undefined solar plexus, we are looking at intimacy. We’re looking at relationships, we’re looking at truth, we’re looking at our own relationship to relational trauam. We’re looking at our first experiences with our caregivers, and here’s the thing: you don’t have to know your past. You dont have to remember. As you might know, I don’t remember my past. The way I use this, is I look at it as: right now how am I running away from intimacy; right now how am I not being honest with myself or with other people?

Start doing the Human Design Shadow Work by looking at your undefined centers. In the next episode I’m going to talk a little bit about bridges as well, because this is super important in terms of shadow work. Listen, it doesn’t have to be hard. Start with where you’re at. What I mean by doing shadow work, just to clarify, is asking yourself those hard questions and allowing yourself to dig deep. Dig super super deep.

I do have something to help you with this, if you’re interested. We have what is known as the HD Shadow cave. Inside the cave I give you all of the information to do your HD shadow work. I give you the centers cheat sheet where you can look at all the trauma responses and sabotaging behaviors of the undefined centers or the defined centers. We do nervous system regulation work, we do somatics, we go deep into shadow; what is the shadow, how might it show up, and how could it actually be your gift as well? I walk you through how to do the HD shadow work inside the cave. This is all abut healing, all about transcendence, this is about being your best self. Unlocking your genius that is being hidden by your traumas.
